The CBRN filtration system is necessary to protect against the many gases, vapours and aerosols that could be released in an accident or terrorist act.
The system comprises an air preheater, specific filters, blower units, gauges, connection ducts with a joint device, a regulating and closing device, as well as shock absorbers. The system is designed to be safe and reliable both during an emergency and normal time use.
The Temet ventilation and CBRN filtration units are used in civil defence and military shelters, as well as in process industry facilities to filter out harmful agents and particles off the intake air.
The ESL series filtration units include a HEPA filter and an activated carbon filter. The efficiency of the HEPA filter is at least 99.995% for particles of 0.3µm. The ESL Units are delivered in six sizes with air filtration capacities from 600m3/h to 7500m3/h.
In addition to civil defence and military shelters, the VIL-150 units can also be used in the protection of laboratories and field hospital facilities. The unit is installed in the wall to save floor space. It consists of a HEPA and an activated carbon filter. The efficiency of the HEPA filter is at least 99.995% for particles of 0.3µm. The unit provides an NBC-filtrated air flow of 150m3/h.
The Temet CBRN filters are used in civil defence and military shelters, as well as in the process industry for filtration of nuclear fallout and chemical or biological agents with maximum efficiency.
The filter is designed and tested against reflected blast pressure of 2bar and reflected against the total impulse of 15bar ms measured at the intake air duct in front of the filter. The efficiency of the absolute filter (HEPA) of the ES-600 NBC filter is better than 99.995% for particles of 0.3µm. Filters are designed for nominal air volume of 150m3/h to 1,500m3/h.
