Wrightstyle, the leading European supplier of steel and aluminium glazing systems, is to supply and install an internal glazed screen at AWE Aldermaston, Berkshire, UK.
The prestigious contract at the UK atomic weapons establishment followed stringent security and other pre-qualification processes, and underlines the company’s international reputation for quality and reliability.
Wrightstyle also secured the contract at the facility’s technology development centre as an approved Schuco-Jansen fabricator and an approved Schuco-approved fire expert (SAFE), which allows the company to offer comprehensive steel and aluminum advanced systems to combat a variety of threats.
The accredited scheme gives Schuco customers the assurance that its fabrication and installation partners have been highly trained and approved to supply the company’s enhanced aluminium glazing systems.
The AWE is the home of the UK’s nuclear deterrent, building, maintaining and decommissioning Trident submarine warheads, providing solutions to national nuclear security and supporting the continuous at sea deterrence (CASD).
"The AWE is a site of national importance and this contract underlines our reputation for product and system excellence, as well as the trust that our worldwide customers place in us," said Tim Kempster, Wrightstyle managing director.
