Ion provide such a range of architectural glass installations, with each project different to the next. Some of 2009’s projects include Windsor Boys School where Ion Glass were commissioned to survey, supply and install glass balustrading to the new library area and adjoining stairwell.
Ion also installed beautiful glass partitions at Newtimber Church in Sussex. The thirteenth century church chose architectural glass partitioning to maintain light and minimise draught coming through the nave to the main chapel.
Toughened glass partitions were also sourced for subtle screening at an established jewellers in Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly, London.
“The screen does all we hoped for both in being draught proof and aesthetically beautiful. There is a bonus in that the church acoustics are improved. Mrs Clay the widow of John Clay in whose memory the screen was given is delighted.” – Dr. Murrell, Newtimber Church.
“Very good.” – Darrin Tennant Ltd.
“Your fitters have made a fantastic job and it looks so much better than before. I am very pleased with the outcome and I thank you for delivering and installing before the
beginning of our new term.” – The Windsor Boys School
“Excellent.” – Hartley Quinn Wilson Ltd.
“Ion Glass was chosen as it could produce an attractive and robust screen for the waiting area and interview room with a simple SAA frame. Toughened obscured glazing
is used at low level, which provides privacy for the receptionist.” – Adam Scott of AD Architects.
