International forest products company, Weyerhaeuser, has expanded its European distributor network with the appointment of Altripan UK. Building on a longstanding relationship with Belgium-based parent company, Altripan, Weyerhaeuser appointed Altripan UK as an approved stockist to increase the UK reach and availability of its sustainable South American plywood products.
Carefully selecting distribution partners based on proven sustainable credentials, Weyerhaeuser reviews the environmental practices of all companies prior to approval. This certified plywood range fits with Altripan’s wider company commitment to sustainability and Altripan UK will be stocking the full range of Weyerhaeuser’s eucalyptus and pine plywood panels, which are manufactured at a state-of-the-art mill in Uruguay, from trees grown on responsibly-managed local plantations.

Weyerhaeuser’s eucalyptus and pine plywood offers superior qualities to many existing panels and is aimed at both the appearance and structural end user markets. CE2+ certified, the panels are also approved for exterior use. An established panel and plywood product importer and distributor, Altripan UK has already taken delivery of the first shipment of Weyerhaeuser plywood products into its Quay Facility in Tilbury Dock. The arrival of this shipment will complement Altripan UK’s growing stock profile and marks the start of the distribution partnership.
