A pioneer of the sintered compact surfacing space for luxury residential and commercial design, Neolith, manufactured by TheSize, is continuously evolving to stay ahead of the latest trends. This year, introductions go well beyond pattern design, offering new thicknesses, formats and finishes, which will be on display in booth W137 at the 2017 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando, Florida, between 10 and 12 January 2017.
As a thin, high-performance, large format surfacing material, Neolith pushes the boundaries for architects, designers, builders and homeowners with limitless applications, including countertops, flooring, wall cladding, facades, furniture and more.
New NanoTech Polished
Second in a series, the new NanoTech Polished finish is the successor of Neolith’s original Décor Polished – a high-gloss finish achieved by layering glass on top of the slab. Instead of applying an additional layer, slabs with the NanoTech finish are polished by the time the slabs are out of the kiln. By using a special raw material during the sinterization process and a studied polishing technique, the resulting slab has a perfectly flat reflection with a high-resistance to abrasion.
Currently available for several of Neolith’s s solid colors such as Artic White and Nero, the glossy NanoTech Polished finish provides a smooth, shiny surface unlike any other on the market.
New thickness and format
Forever innovating and disrupting the industry, TheSize has become the first sintered compact surface manufacturer to produce a 20mm thickness through its proprietary technology. The 20mm thickness is ideal for kitchen countertops, and for those that seek bull-nose or rounded edges. Additionally, the new thickness fills the market need for fabricators that prefer not to miter edges. This new thickness cements TheSize as a market leader and the only player in the game to offer such a wide range of possibilities.
From 3mm to 20mm, Neolith can be used for endless residential and commercial applications, including exterior cladding, worktops, furniture cladding and much more. The 20mm thickness will initially be available on select décors from the Fusion Collection: Basalt Black Satin; Arctic White Silk; Cement Satin; Beton Silk; and Pierre Bleue Silk.
Alongside this new thickness, Neolith has expanded availability of its 3mm slab to décors in select collections: Classtone (Calacatta, Calacatta Gold, Estatuario, Strata Argentum, Pulpis), Fusion (Pierre Bleue, Beton); and Iron (Iron Frost). With these additions to the 3mm thickness production line, customers can now specify favorite Neolith décors for furniture cladding or interior walls.
With the new introductions, Neolith now offers more than 56 different designs across its seven collections, available in multiple finishes and thicknesses, providing specifiers with a broader range of design possibilities.
Neolith products are available in the US and worldwide through a large network of distributors.
