TheSize, manufacturer of the high-performance sintered compact surface brand Neolith, expands its marble-inspired Classtone collection for 2017 with the introduction of two timeless colors, Blanco Carrara and Nero Marquina, created are in response to customer demands. The new décors were on display in booth W137 at the 2017 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando, Florida, on 10-12 January 2017.
"Each year, we collaborate with our in-house designers in Spain to decide how we can take our collections to the next level by studying design trends, fashion trends and more," said TheSize marketing manager Mar Esteve.
"Marble continues to be a hot trend in Europe and North America, and as the premier sintered compact surfacing brand, we challenge ourselves to maintain the authenticity of the natural stone in a lower maintenance material. In designing these new décors, our team traveled the world to handpick attributes of natural marble and replicate them in Neolith surfaces."
Blanco Carrara (Classtone Collection)
Year after year, durability and neutral colors continue to dominate the must-have list when taking on a home renovation. Inspired by Carrara marbles from Italy, Blanco Carrara is the result of a meticulous selection process, in line with the latest design trends. TheSize in-house designers compared dozens of natural Carrara marbles found in Italy, and from each one, selected the exact quality and characteristic to be replicated in the Neolith slab. With this custom approach, the final product is a truly unique entity, comprising natural aesthetic elements and durability exclusive to TheSize.
To realistically portray the likeness of natural marbles and their unpredictability, two versions of Blanco Carrara have been created; one a more subtle portrayal of the veining and the other, a prominent, high-contrast version.
Blanco Carrara is available in two thicknesses, 6mm and 12mm, and in two finishes, Polished, and Silk. Blanco Carrara is especially suited for floors, walls, bathroom and kitchen worktops and furniture.
Nero Marquina (Classtone Collection
Neolith’s answer to a timeless monochromatic trend that transcends interior design, fashion and architecture, the Nero Marquina décor is a revolutionary surfacing solution. Inspired by marble from Spain, Nero Marquina is a testament to the technical expertise at TheSize. To achieve bright white veining on a pure black backdrop is a task challenging enough on paper, but for a slab, a new technical avenue is achieved. TheSize developed an exclusive technique to achieve the stark contrast and distinct fine lines.
Available in Polished and Silk finishes, and in 6mm and 12mm thicknesses, Nero Marquina is ideal for floors, walls, bathroom and kitchen worktops, as well as furniture.
Like all of Neolith’s collections, the marble-inspired Classtone collection is 100% natural, composed of raw materials — clays, feldspar, silica and natural mineral oxides, and is recyclable. Neolith has near-zero porosity, making the product hygienic, stain resistant, easy-to-clean and impervious to chemicals; ideal for worktop applications. Neolith slabs are also wear, scratch, heat resistant and its natural colors will never fade from exposure to UV rays. The product is also lightweight and easy to install, making Neolith suitable for virtually every indoor and outdoor residential or commercial surface.
