Wihlborgs is set to construct a new facility for German logistics company Dachser in Landskrona, Sweden.
The facility, to be located adjacent to the E4 and E6 motorways, is scheduled for occupancy at the end of 2024 with a 15-year lease agreement.
It will include a cross-dock terminal, a logistics warehouse, and offices.
The building, spanning 9,600m², will occupy approximately two-thirds of the plot, providing scope for future expansion.
Wihlborgs CEO Ulrika Hallengren said: “The new facility will have high sustainability requirements and will make efficient use of the site with a stable and long-term tenant.”
Established in 1930, Dachser currently employs 33,000 people globally.
The company's Swedish Group road transportation business, currently located in Malmö, will relocate to the new Landskrona facility.
This move is expected to initially transfer almost 40 jobs and aims to accommodate approximately 100 employees as operations grow.
Dachser Sweden branch manager Joakim Friberg said: “We are growing too large for our current premises and are now taking a step toward the continued development of our operations in southern Sweden together with Wihlborgs.
“The new branch will be about three times as large as the current branch and we will have the opportunity to expand even further in the future.”
This development follows Wihlborgs’ plans for the construction of an industrial facility at Tomaten 1 in Hasslanda, Lund, Sweden, in August 2022.
