Westwood Professional Services, a US-based design and consulting company, has announced the acquisition of American company Balzer & Associates.
This acquisition aligns with Westwood's vision to expand into new geographic regions while enhancing its ability to support clients across the US.
The deal includes four new offices in Virginia, strengthening Westwood's strategic growth initiatives.

Balzer complements Westwood's presence in land development and strengthens its service offerings.

Balzer will operate as Balzer & Associates, a Westwood company, for a period of time and continue to serve clients from their current locations.
Legal counsel in the transaction for Westwood was provided by Lawson & Weitzen while Morningstar Law Group served as legal counsel to Balzer & Associates.
Westwood, established in 1972, is a full-service engineering company specialising in sustainable, commercial, residential, and public infrastructure projects. Balzer & Associates, established more than 50 years ago, comprises planners, architects, engineers, and surveyors.
In March this year, Westwood acquired O'Dell Engineering, a US-based designer. This acquisition marked Westwood's inaugural investment in California, adding four new offices in Modesto, Pleasanton, Fresno, and Merced.
