US-based lumber and building materials supplier West Coast Lumber (WCL) has acquired truss manufacturer Stone Truss.
The acquisition signifies WCL’s debut in the structural component manufacturing market, as well as an extension of its product range.
Following the deal, WCL now services clients in four Southern California locations, namely Bakersfield, Camarillo, San Diego, and Agoura Hills.
WCL CEO Joe Lawrence said: “Between the acquisition of Stone Truss and Jason [Walsh, of Stone Truss] joining our team, we are making significant strides with our expansion strategy.
“These advances ensure that we can deliver a wider range of solutions to meet our customers’ evolving needs.”
Stone Truss was founded in 1986 and specialises in the custom design, cutting, and manufacturing of wood roof and floor trusses for residential, commercial, and other purposes.
Post-acquisition, it will continue to function from its North San Diego County manufacturing site and plans to further enhance production capacity at the facility soon.
Stone Truss founders Richard Thomas and Charlie Signorino will also continue to work with the company.
Thomas said: “We are excited to join WCL and to be part of Stone Truss’ next phase.
“We believe that this deal provides new opportunities for our team members and expanded services for our customers.”
Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed by either company.
