Wavensmere Homes has announced detailed plans for the £150m ($190.71m) redevelopment of Wolverhampton's Canalside South in the UK.
The real estate and construction company has also revealed CGIs of the development.
The 17-acre waterfront project is aimed at transforming the former industrial site into a residential and commercial hub.
It will introduce more than 500 eco-focused homes and a variety of commercial amenities.
Wavensmere is proposing more than 380 two and three-bedroom townhouses and 140 one and two-bedroom apartments.
These homes are being designed to achieve an energy performance certificate 'A' rating.
The scheme also includes plans to revitalise disused railway arches into 7,000ft² of commercial space.
The development is set to introduce a new walkway, reducing the previous walking time by 20 minutes and stimulating investment into the commercial corridor.
Glancy Nicholls Architects and RPS have designed the plans for the low-rise development, aiming to blend with the surrounding conservation area and canalside setting.
Furthermore, the development plans include provisions for electric vehicle charging for each home and additional chargers for visitors.

“The £150m of investment and different housing typologies we are proposing will be the catalyst for a new wave of ambitious city living, which is vital to see the Wolverhampton Pound spent locally.”
The overall aim of the Wolverhampton Canalside master plan is said to be to deliver about 1,000 residences, addressing the housing requirements of both the city and the broader region.
A public consultation process has been launched to gather local input on the redevelopment plans.
Last month, Derby City Council’s Planning Committee gave its approval for the redevelopment plans for Friar Gate Goods Yard.
The project is being spearheaded by Wavensmere and Clowes Developments.
