Vistry Group has entered into an agreement with Metropolitan Thames Valley (MTVH) to deliver 122 new homes across three developments in the East Midlands region in England, UK.
The deal involves a forward purchase by MTVH of 90 homes in Nottinghamshire, which includes 65 units at the Fairham development and 25 units at the Padstow site in Bestwood.
Additionally, MTVH will acquire 32 units at Vistry's St Lawrence Fold development in Clay Cross, Derbyshire.
Vistry North East Midlands managing director Lee Parry said: “Deals like this with MTVH which involve properties across multiple developments are hugely important in helping to tackle the crippling shortage of affordable homes in the region.”
The 122 properties will feature a mix of housing types, including two-bedroom apartments and two-to-four-bedroom houses, aimed at providing diverse tenure options while maintaining uniform quality across the homes.
The planned homes are part of an initiative to expand the availability of affordable housing options for families seeking quality living spaces within integrated communities.
MTVH CEO Geeta Nanda said: “We’re delighted to once again be partnering with Vistry to deliver much-needed new affordable homes for the East Midlands.
“This latest venture represents a significant investment, and it will help to meet the growing demand for housing and provide an affordable route into homeownership for more people.”
Construction timelines indicate that the first properties will be completed and transferred starting this month, with the process continuing until November 2025.
Last month, Vistry announced plans to build additional homes for the Great Haddon area, UK.
