Norwegian construction and civil engineering company Veidekke has been contracted to deliver the third and final stage of the Lille Løren Park project in eastern Oslo, Norway.

The contract has been awarded by Nordr and residential property developer Selvaag Bolig.

The final stage of the development encompasses 165 ecologically certified apartment units spread over three residential complexes.

This design and build contract is valued at approximately Nkr322m, excluding VAT.

Veidekke's department manager Kaare Gilhus said: “We appreciate the continued confidence shown in us and are very pleased to get started with the final part of this great housing project, despite a somewhat difficult market.

“We like building for Selvaag and Nordr and appreciate working at Løren, where we have built new homes continuously for more than ten years now. We believe this will be one of Oslo’s best apartment projects and have one of our best housing teams in place.”

Overall, Lille Løren Park will include 355 ecologically certified flats alongside a preschool when the third building stage is completed.

The third development stage includes the construction 37, 63, and 65 flats in three apartment towers of seven and eight storeys, respectively, each building with rooftop patios.

Works are currently underway, with completion anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The contract will be entered into Veidekke’s order book for the second quarter of 2023.
