Kanonaden Entreprenad has been contracted to construct the farm via a turnkey contract.

European power company Vattenfall has decided to invest in the construction of an onshore wind farm in Velinga, Tidaholm, Sweden.

The wind farm will comprise 12 turbines, each with a height of 180m.

It is set to hold a 67MW output capacity and produce an annual output of approximately 173GWh.

Vattenfall Sweden onshore wind development head Daniel Gustafsson said: “We are proud and happy to be able to start the construction of another wind farm in Southern Sweden. We would like to thank landowners, municipalities, suppliers, and other partners for good cooperation.”

AF Gruppen subsidiary Kanonaden Entreprenad has been contracted to build the wind farm. The value of its turnkey contract is Skr122m, excluding VAT.

Entreprenad will be responsible for the design and building of crane sites, foundations, internal electricity, and the optical grid of the farm.

Construction work is scheduled to begin by the end of the year and be operational in early 2026, according to Vattenfall.

The company also commenced construction of the Bruzaholm wind farm, as well as the Grönhult wind farm earlier this year.

Furthermore, it began building two battery storage systems at the Höge väg and Hjuleberg wind farms.

These projects will support the green transition and supply of power in Southern Sweden.
