Tempus Realty Partners has completed the new Westrock Coffee production and distribution centre in Arkansas, US, on time and under budget.

The project, which began in January 2023, was expedited to meet the increasing demand for Westrock's products and was completed late last month.

The tilt-wall distribution centre, covering 530,000ft², is situated on a 30-acre site and will be fully occupied by Westrock.

It offers 13,000ft² of mezzanine office space and a 100,000ft² air-conditioned production area.

The facility is expected to support the production and packaging operations of Westrock's expanded extract and ready-to-drink manufacturing facility in Conway.

It will also cater to additional distribution requirements.

The centre includes approximately 72 dock doors and an early-suppression fast-response sprinkler system.

The Tempus development team comprised Clark Contractors, Lewis Architects, Engineering Consultants, and Build Nimble/Colliers Arkansas, who served as the construction manager.

Ted Dickey of Lighthouse Asset Advisors represented Westrock in this project.

Tempus general partner and development team leader Mark Saviers said: “Every member of our team, including the city of Conway who helped at every turn, went to extraordinary lengths to complete this project on time and under budget.

“We overcame torrential spring rains and supply chain issues by great teamwork and by working seven-day weeks most of the year to meet the deadline.”

Westrock is an integrated coffee, extracts, tea, flavours, and ingredients solutions provider.

Analyzing the growth prospects of the global construction industry

GlobalData's latest report offers an insight into the outlook for the global construction industry to 2027. Despite the challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical backdrop, the global construction industry managed to continue to generate growth momentum in 2023, with global output rising by 3.4% in real terms. Much of this is owing to China’s surprisingly strong performance despite the prolonged real estate crisis there.
