The development will be delivered together with existing property tenant Seafrigo.

Swedish Logistic Property (SLP) has taken ownership of a new construction project of 11,000m² in Katrineholm, Sweden.

The development follows the receipt of a building permit and land acquisition approval from Katrineholm Municipality for the project.

Last November, SLP signed an agreement for the project, as well as a 15-year lease with international logistics operator Seafrigo, for the entire region.

The annual rent for the facility is set at approximately Skr16m (around $1.7m), with provisions for full indexation.

A building will also be constructed on a 52,000m² property, offering potential for further expansion.

The building will feature solar cells and environmental certification.

SLP CEO Tommy Åstrand said: “For SLP, it is important to be able to develop together with our existing tenants. It is therefore pleasing that we can offer our existing tenant Seafrigo new premises in the form of a modern cold storage.

“The project enables us to expand together with the tenant and jointly strive for increased sustainability that contributes to a better environment and reduced energy costs.”

Construction work on the project is already underway, with a preliminary move-in date scheduled for December 2024.
