Skanska has announced an investment of 87m zlotys ($21.94m) in the fifth phase of the Holm Houses residential project in Warsaw, Poland.

This phase will comprise 78 functional flats and four commercial premises on the ground floor of the site.

The building will have environmental features, including a system to recycle grey water and a smart home system enabling residents to control energy and water usage through an app.

Additionally, it will include green spaces and green roofs.

This fifth phase marks the conclusion of the entire project, comprising a total of 823 flats and 23 commercial spaces.

Construction is scheduled to commence this month, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Holm Houses plans to apply for a building research establishment environmental assessment methodology certificate. The buildings in the complex feature five to eight floors with apartments ranging in size from 28m² to 108m².

It also aims to be certified as a 'barrier-free facility,' ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities, older residents, and young children.

Located in the centre of the Mokotów business district, Holm Houses is well-connected to the city centre, with two metro stations and multiple tram and bus stops nearby.

It will also have bicycle racks outside and storage facilities for cyclists.

Earlier this week, Skanska, as part of the Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture, was awarded an additional £71m ($89.71m) for the first phase of the UK’s High Speed Two project.
