Nakheel, a Dubai-based developer, has awarded the construction contract for Rixos Bay Residences and Villas to Sembol Construction.  

The project is part of the overarching Rixos Dubai Islands, Hotel & Residences development, which is a waterfront retreat in Dubai Islands.

Dubai Islands, comprising five islands over 17km² and 20km of beaches, offers waterfront living within a short distance of Downtown Dubai and other key locations.  

Construction work is anticipated to commence shortly. 

The new development features one to four-bedroom apartments, duplexes, and luxury villas with amenities. 

Rixos Dubai Islands, Hotel & Residences intends to add more than 80 resorts and hotels, including luxury and wellness resorts, boutique, family, and eco-conscious hotels to its portfolio.

It aims to contribute to the city’s tourism and hospitality growth via the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.  

In April last year, Nakeel selected iBuild Construction and United Engineering Construction for the construction of the 80ha Jebel Ali Village, also in Dubai. 

Nakheel's portfolio currently includes master communities, retail, hospitality, and leisure developments such as the St. Regis Dubai and Nakheel Mall on Palm Jumeirah.
