Resolve, a virtual reality (VR) solution for construction, has launched a new feature that connects 3D and 2D construction project data into VR, improving how buildings are reviewed before construction.
Resolve's App Portal enables design and construction professionals to access construction applications directly within the VR space for Meta Quest.
The portal provides seamless interaction with 2D drawings, dashboards, and issue databases, all while users are engaged with 3D models in VR.
This integration facilitates a more effective identification and resolution of potential issues by providing instant access to essential 2D data sources.
Resolve CEO Angel Say said: “At Resolve, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that improve the construction process and we also believe 2D data still holds an important place in the industry.
“This new feature allows our users to fully leverage all their project data, leading to better decision-making and increased project efficiency.”
The App Portal debuts with integrations including Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk BIM 360, Procore, and Newforma Konekt.
These ensure that users can connect to and manage their existing project data within the Resolve VR application.
The feature is designed to eliminate the need to alternate between VR and a 2D monitor, optimising workflow and conserving time.
Moreover, the new feature allows team members to share and pin 2D screenshots within the virtual model, creating a reference point that can be accessed easily by all.
Procore product director Dave McCool said: “The enhanced integration of Procore into Resolve’s application empowers project teams to leverage Procore data like never before.
“This integration supports project coordination and stakeholder engagement with critical project data in a whole new way, within Resolve’s virtual experience.”
