Puerto Verde Holdings and Moduco have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for construction products manufacturing in Texas, US.

Moduco is a manufacturer that specialises in modular structures.

This collaboration was formalised during the 2024 Texas-India Business Mission, led by Texas governor Greg Abbott.

The event was attended by Texas Economic Development Corporation vice-chair Arun Agarwal and Texas State Secretary Jane Nelson.

The partnership between Puerto Verde and Moduco is set to enhance Puerto Verde’s operations along the southern US border.

The collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both companies to create an eco-friendly and prosperous ecosystem for border-based communities.

Puerto Verde chair Ruben Garibay said: “We are pleased to be collaborating with Moduco on this fantastic project that serves our mutual goal of providing affordable housing at a level of quality that homeowners deserve.

“The chosen region will consume thousands of a wide variety of homes and products Moduco will produce with local labour.”

The signing comes after Green Eagle Railroad, a subsidiary of Puerto Verde, revealed its plans to construct a 19.12-mile secure cross-border corridor in Mexico last December.

Puerto Verde is a US-based binational developer that aims to create a 24-hour US-Mexico land port of entry called the Puerto Verde Global Trade Bridge (PVGTB).

In addition, the company is working closely with Maverick County, Texas, to sponsor the proposed PVGTB.

The project aims to revolutionise trade and transportation between the US and Mexico.
