Planera, a construction critical path method scheduling and planning solution, has introduced a new product that integrates both master and working schedules.
The new full-stack construction planning tool connects construction strategy with project execution.
It offers a range of features, including the creation of working schedules in seconds, real-time visibility on project progress, and a centralised source of truth.
Its user-friendly dashboard is said to facilitate seamless collaboration among team members.
The company notes that master schedules that outline the ideal project plan, and working schedules, which track actual progress, were traditionally managed separately.
Contractors have had to use different software for each, leading to manual and disjointed management processes, the company further stated.
Legacy systems handle the creation of master schedules while working schedules are maintained in spreadsheets or other programmes that lack integration with master scheduling tools.
The latest offering is expected to provide teams with the ability to manage all aspects of construction planning on a single platform.
Planera CEO and co-founder Nitin Bhandari said: “Both master and working schedules are integral elements to a successful project, and it is absolutely necessary to have visibility around both, as well as the ability to manage them together, without extensive manual effort.
“Planera's Working Schedule provides the ability for both portions of project scheduling to be created and managed in one platform, establishing an automatic link between the two and mitigating the biggest issue faced by the industry which is high latency in information flow.”
The latest announcement comes after Shimmick Construction implemented Planera's solution in April this year.
