Phase-two development begins at Academy Business Park

The development will include premises intended to accommodate the requirements of companies.

August 22 2023

UK-based property developer Orbit Developments has announced the start of phase-two construction of Academy Business Park in Knowsley, UK.

Academy Business Park is located in the primary logistics and industrial area within Knowsley Industrial Park.

The park features more than 600 companies, and with the M57 Junction 4 just a three-minute drive away, it is well-located for links to Manchester, Liverpool, and the vast M6 motorway to the north and south regions of the country.

Phase one of Academy Business Park is already complete and provides 100,000ft² of warehousing space and 10,000ft² of ground and first-floor office accommodation.

This new phase will include the development of premises intended to accommodate the extra requirements of companies.

Orbit's divisional director Dennis Dwyer said: “We’re delighted at the success and popularity of Academy Business Park.

“With an ideal location in Knowsley, which has a growing business base, it’s no wonder the park has attracted a huge multinational corporation like Associates of Cape Cod, Inc. and we’re delighted that they have decided to join us here.

“The business park is continuing to grow, and we are creating a mix of modern business units along with other staff amenities on site.”

ESG 2.0 will be less forgiving of poor ESG performers, especially on environmental issues

While ESG 1.0 was driven by voluntary corporate action, ESG 2.0 is being driven by a new wave of government policies. A host of new environmental laws are in the pipeline, relating to mandatory reporting, carbon pricing, and carbon import tariffs, as well as more state support and investment in clean energy technologies. Companies unprepared for ESG 2.0 face higher costs and lost sales.
