Peab has secured a contract for the construction of a new living facility designed for older residents in Norrköping, Sweden.
The project is being delivered in a turnkey contract form and carries a value of approximately Skr210m. The facility will be built for client Norrköping Municipality.
The development comprises a new three-storey housing building on the Fiskeby 2:1 site and will include 80 rooms, social areas, as well as personnel and utility facilities.
The base floor will feature a concrete building frame and a brick facade, with solar panels to be installed on a portion of the roof, according to Peab.
Peab region manager Anders Bergeling said: “We’re happy and proud to be part of community development in Norrköping. Peab has a great deal of experience in building assisted living facilities, and we look forward to getting started.”
Construction works are scheduled to begin this month, with project completion expected in February 2026.
Peab will enter this project in its order booking for the fourth quarter of this year.
Last week, Norrköping Municipality commenced construction on a new fire and emergency station, including an associated garage and radio tower.
This assignment is a shared contract in which Peab has been contracted for land and building construction.
