Frontier Scientific Solutions has announced progress on the development of its current good manufacturing practice (GMP) temperature-controlled facilities at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) in North Carolina, US with the installation of the first vertical structures underway.

The company claims that the project will become the largest GMP temperature-controlled facility dedicated to the life sciences sector in North America.

Designed to optimise the transportation speed and reliability of sensitive pharmaceuticals, the Wilmington facility is poised to establish a direct gateway between North America and Europe.

The facility will feature streamlined customs processing through its Free Trade Zone designation, offering duty deferral.

As the first vertical structures are installed, Frontier Scientific Solutions will collaborate with local communities and stakeholders.
