Quarterra Multifamily has announced the start of construction on Emblem Mill Road in McDonough, Georgia, located south-east of Atlanta, US. 

This development marks the third Emblem-branded community in the Atlanta market.  

Emblem Mill Road is set to feature a 324-home, garden-style community. 

By leveraging the scalable construction capabilities of its parent company, Lennar, Emblem will adopt a programmatic approach. 

Quarterra Product and Operations senior managing director Doug Bober said: “Emblem Mill Road is Quarterra's latest response to a clear need for more attainable, high-quality housing in the Atlanta Metro Area to address the housing needs of the missing middle demographic. 

“As an Emblem community, Mill Road is following a proven development blueprint that meets modern renter preferences, offers high-end amenities and delivers an exceptional living experience. Our Emblem product also emphasises location, and Mill Road's positioning will provide its residents with ideal regional connectivity.” 

The housing mix will include one- and two-bedroom homes ranging from 738ft² to 1,194ft².  

These homes will feature built-in Wi-Fi, quartz kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, and luxury vinyl plank flooring, among others. 

The community will have 619 surface parking spaces, 30 garage spaces, and four electric vehicle (EV) charging stalls. 

The development will provide residents access to a clubhouse with a social lounge, a resort-calibre pool with a sun shelf, outdoor grill stations, package lockers, a walking trail, and a dog park.  

Located at 243 Mill Road, the new Emblem community is near McDonough's main retail and dining district.
