Nestcon Infra, a subsidiary of Nestcon, has secured a letter of award (LoA) for the construction works for a proposed project in Selangor, Malaysia.
The contract, valued at RM37.7m ($8.03m), has been awarded by Seriemas Development.
It entails overseeing the construction and completion of earthworks, soil improvement, and other associated tasks for the remaining works of package 4-2 in Kota Seri Langat.
Contract work is scheduled to commence on 11 June this year, with completion expected by 10 April 2025.
Following completion, there will be a defect liability period lasting 12 months, ensuring the quality and durability of the construction.
Nestcon Infra is tasked with executing the contract in line with the supplementary terms and conditions outlined in the LoA.
Nestcon’s board of directors said: “The board, after having considered all aspects of the LoA and the contract works, is of the opinion that the LoA and the contract works are within the ordinary course of business of Nestcon and the acceptance of the LoA is in the best interest of the company.”
The company focuses on construction projects while Seriemas Development specialises in property development.
In January this year, Nestcon's subsidiary Nestcon Builder secured two contracts.
It was awarded a contract valued at RM251.5m by Altimas for the construction of a mixed-use development in Kuala Lumpur.
The second contract, worth RM108m, was commissioned by Exsim Avenue for construction works of a 37-storey mixed commercial building comprising retail shops, apartments, and more.
