Nakheel Community Management (NCM) has initiated construction work on six netball courts in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), United Arab Emirates (UAE).

JVC is a community featuring more than 2,000 villas and townhouses along with a wide array of amenities, according to a press release posted on Zawya.

A ground-breaking ceremony for the courts was attended by NCM's chief projects officer Mohammed Rashed and chief community management officer Francis Giani.

It was also attended by other members of the project and NCM senior management team.

The development aligns with NCM's aim to foster health, fitness, sports, and community engagement in the city.

The company currently manages approximately 700,000 residents within 18 master communities and a total of 50,000 units.

These master developments cover 15,000ha, offering diverse destinations, including The World, Jumeirah Islands, Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Village, and more.

The company’s waterfront projects have added more than 300km to Dubai’s originally 70km coastline.

NCM's relationship with netball in the UAE is longstanding, including a three-year sponsorship of the UAE Netball Federation, the sport's domestic governing body.

In addition, the company is sponsoring netball at the Emirates Dubai 7s for the second consecutive year.

Last week, NCM announced the completion of beach enhancement works on the island of Palm Jumeirah.
