Nordic construction company NCC has entered a contract to develop 82 right-of-occupancy apartment units within the community of Lamminrahka in Tampere, Finland.
Awarded by Finnish property manager Asuntosäätiö, the contract has an estimated value of Skr160m.
The agreement involves the construction of two independent apartment buildings and two townhouses, as well as a communal courtyard structure and parking area.
This ready-to-occupy property is centrally situated and is said to be one of Lamminrahka's first significant housing projects.
Since the required building permit has now been issued for the project, construction is expected to commence immediately. The project is expected to be finished in early 2025.
The order will be recorded in NCC's Building Nordics business segment in Q3 2023.
Lamminrahka is a new residential housing project in Finland, situated adjacent to the cities of Kangasala and Tampere.
It is a community of 8,000 residents and approximately 1,000 workplaces.
The VT12 Lahdentie road runs close by, offering quick and simple access to Tampere and Kangasala, as well as to the rest of the Tampere region. Starting later this year, two bus routes will service the community's initial inhabitants.
The community will also offer amenities such as walking trails, jogging routes, ski tracks, a sports park, an ice hockey rink, and a fitness park.
Last month, NCC received a contract from Denmark-based Vores Bolig to renovate 236 residential units in Frederiksværk, North Zealand, Denmark.
