Swedish construction company NCC is set to undertake the construction of Diamanten, a multifunctional building in Bjurholm, a municipality located in Västerbotten County of northern Sweden.
Diamanten will house a retirement home, preschool, and other community services within the municipality.
The company has partnered with Bjurholm Municipality for this building project.
The project has an order value of approximately Skr200m ($19.52m) and has been booked under NCC's Building Sweden business segment for the fourth quarter of 2023.
Diamanten will feature a residential care facility with 40 rooms, a preschool for 90 children, a commercial kitchen, and office space for home care services.
The project will break ground in March this year, with expected completion by the end of 2025.
Bjurholm Municipal Executive Board chair Christina Lidström said: “Diamanten will serve as the hub of a stimulating and nurturing preschool and retirement home, enriched by the proximity of operations and enabling exciting interaction and development.
“We are pleased to have NCC involved at an early stage of this project to yield the best results in terms of design, planning and operation.”
