NBCC has announced that it has secured a construction order valued at Rs2.64bn ($30.4m) from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, an Indian educational institution.

The project encompasses the construction of various academic and residential buildings.

It is to be executed under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) methodology, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

This new order follows two additional contracts secured last week by the Government of India Civil Engineering Enterprise, totalling Rs8.51bn.

The first, a Rs7.76bn contract from Damodar Valley Corporation, involves constructing buildings and related infrastructure for townships in Kolkata.

The second, valued at Rs749.4m, is from the country's Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for maintenance work on the New Moti Bagh GRPA Complex through to financial year 2027.

NBCC recorded standalone operational revenue of Rs20.47bn for the December quarter and Rs55.4bn for the nine months ended 31 December 2024, reflecting year-over-year (YoY) growth of 6.73% and 10.39%, respectively.

During the three months under review, the company reported a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs1.71bn and a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs1.28bn, marking a YoY increase of 36.28% and 37.29%, respectively.

Over the nine-month period, the company's PBT reached Rs4.43bn while PAT stood at Rs3.38bn.

On a consolidated basis, the group's revenue from operations stood at Rs28.26bn for the December quarter and Rs74.29bn for the nine-month period ended December 2024.

Last month, NBCC, in collaboration with the Kerala State Housing Board, called for a tender for the Marine Eco City project at Marine Drive in Kochi.

That same month, NBCC India secured multiple contracts totalling nearly Rs1.38bn for construction projects in Jharkhand and Delhi.
