Dubai-based Nakheel has awarded construction contracts for District One West, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City’s new gated community.
Fibrex Contracting and Ginco General Contracting have been selected to develop the luxurious residential project, which includes 467 residential units with a mix of four to seven-bedroom villas and mansions.
The award of the contracts signals the commencement of work on the development. Both companies have considerable experience in delivering projects in the city.
Nakheel chief projects officer Mohammed Rashed said: “We are excited to welcome onboard Fibrex Contracting and Ginco General Contracting to commence work on our prestigious District One West residences.
“Both these construction companies come with a wealth of experience in the region, and we are confident their deep-rooted commitment to developing Dubai’s skyline and sharp focus on quality will be an asset to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City development.”
District One West is set to offer residents a blend of luxury and convenience, with amenities such as a crystal lagoon and expansive green spaces.
The community's strategic location provides easy access to key roads and local landmarks, including The Meydan Hotel and Meydan Racecourse.
Nakheel launched a new development, Bay Villas, at Dubai Islands B last week. It includes Waterfront Villas, Garden Villas, Semi Detached Residences and Townhouses.
Trakhees, the regulatory body of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai, recently issued the first 3D printing technology licence to Nakheel for the Al Furjan Hills project, marking a milestone in the city’s construction sector.
The printing process for the first project was completed in only 20 days from the start of construction operations.
