Morgan Sindall Construction’s Essex business has been appointed to the new Essex Construction Framework (ECF3), which aims to enhance educational facilities in the English county.

Reappointed by Essex County Council for another four years, the company has been selected for Lot 2 projects ranging from £500,000 ($646,007.50) to £4.5m, and Lot 3 projects worth more than £4.5m.

During the previous framework, Morgan Sindall worked alongside the council and delivered several projects spanning primary, secondary, and special education schools across Essex.

These include the development of Trinity Primary School, Ormiston Rivers Academy, and Cedar Hall School, among others.

Morgan Sindall Construction Essex area director Ryan Liversage said: “As a local business that is deeply embedded within Essex, we are delighted to have been reappointed to the Essex Construction Framework.

“We’re exceptionally proud of the multiple high-end educational environments we’ve collaborated with Essex County Council on under previous iterations of the framework and which are generating significant benefits for local communities across the county.”

The partnership has also extended to Basildon Council, where Morgan Sindall used the framework to procure the Eversley Leisure Centre, which opened earlier this year.

In the past, Morgan Sindall's projects under the framework are said to have generated the engagement of 23 apprentices and the provision of 545 weeks of work experience.

These efforts have contributed £84.5m in social value to the local Essex community, according to the company.

Morgan Sindall is set to continue implementing its Intelligent Solutions approach in the upcoming projects obtained through the ECF3.

Last week, Morgan Sindall Construction was awarded a £32m contract by Walsall Council for the creation of a new Household Waste Recycling Centre and Waste Transfer Station at Middlemore Lane.
