Mill Creek Residential has commenced construction on a luxury mid-rise apartment community in the West Midtown neighbourhood in Atlanta, US.

Comprising 373 apartments, the Modera Westside Trail community is situated at 576 Northside Drive.

It offers quick access to various attractions within West Midtown, including the Westside Trail of the Atlanta BeltLine, as well as its contingent of breweries, music venues, and diverse local establishments.

Mill Creek's senior managing development director for Atlanta Patrick Chesser said: "The location on Northside Drive is the natural progression of West Midtown moving south with the benefit of an easy escape to Midtown, Downtown and Georgia Tech.

"As great as the Atlanta BeltLine is at stitching together neighbourhoods on the east side, the Westside Trail is a game-changer, linking landmark mixed-use developments to the Georgia Tech campus and all the Downtown venues."

The new community is planned to open in late 2025.

The community will offer 360° views of the Atlanta skyline and will have studio or one, two and three-bedroom homes, including 37 Premium Collection homes with upgraded features.

Features of the homes' interiors include 9ft ceilings, stainless steel appliances, wood plank-style flooring, quartz countertops, keyless entry systems, smart locks, as well as smart thermostats.

The community will also have amenities such as a resort-inspired swimming pool, co-working space, and electric vehicle charging stations for residents, among others.

In April this year, construction started on the Modera Aventura mixed-use apartment community in Ojus, Florida, US.

ESG 2.0 will be less forgiving of poor ESG performers, especially on environmental issues

While ESG 1.0 was driven by voluntary corporate action, ESG 2.0 is being driven by a new wave of government policies. A host of new environmental laws are in the pipeline, relating to mandatory reporting, carbon pricing, and carbon import tariffs, as well as more state support and investment in clean energy technologies. Companies unprepared for ESG 2.0 face higher costs and lost sales.
