MGB Construction & Engineering has accepted a letter of award (LoA) from Anuar Aziz Architect, on behalf of Kemudi Ehsan, to build industrial units in Selangor, Malaysia.

The contract, valued at RM189.35m ($40.33m), will see the construction of various industrial units and infrastructure as part of the LBS Alam Perdana township.

This new contract boosts MGB’s existing construction order book to RM1.38bn, with unbilled property development sales standing at RM0.75bn as of 30 April 2024.

MGB Construction & Engineering is a wholly owned subsidiary of MGB, which itself is an LBS Bina Group subsidiary, as well as a construction and property development solutions provider.

The project on Lot 4295, Mukim Ijok, Daerah Kuala Selangor, comprises five phases.

It includes the construction of 112 low-cost single-storey industrial terrace units, 96 two-storey terraced factories, and 116 three-storey semidetached factories.

Additionally, the infrastructure development will consist of 13 electrical substations, one main switch station, and a retention pond.

Construction has already commenced, with completion expected within 18 months.

MGB group executive chair Tan Sri Ir Lim Hock San said: “This contract will provide us with steady earnings visibility in the coming years. In addition to our expertise in the construction of both landed and high-rise residential properties, we are delighted to develop and build industrial units in the Alam Perdana township which enhances our track record for non-residential projects.

"Moving forward, we continue to explore a variety of opportunities both in Malaysia and internationally.”
