McShane Construction Company has been commissioned by Redwood Living to construct a new residential community in Crystal Lake, Illinois, US.

This comes after Redwood Living revealed plans regarding another neighbourhood, including 136 single-storey apartment homes ranging in sizes from 1,294ft² to 1,620ft², in December 2023.

Meanwhile, the Redwood Crystal Lake residential community will consist of 124 single-storey apartments spread across 25 townhome buildings with four to six units each.

Each apartment will feature a two-bedroom, two-bathroom, open-concept floor plan.

These ranch-style homes will include vinyl siding and stone veneer exteriors.

Each unit will also include a private attached two-car garage, in-unit laundry hookups, and a private patio.

The property interiors will feature stainless steel appliances and luxury vinyl tile flooring.

McShane Multi-Family regional vice-president David Rintz said: “We’re excited to be underway with our first project with Redwood.

“Redwood develops unique neighbourhoods that provide residents the feel of living in single-family homes with the benefits of apartment living, so we’re confident that this development will be a great addition to Crystal Lake.”

The community will be designed by Mann Parsons Gray Architects.

Construction is expected to be completed by December this year.

Last month, McShane delivered a multifamily community, The Livano Deer Valley, in Phoenix, Arizona, US.

The 242-unit, three-storey complex was developed on behalf of owner Jomax Residences.
