Metro Consulting Associates (MCA), a company specialising in energy, land, and community development, has announced the launch of its construction materials testing (CMT) services.
These services are supported by a laboratory accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
The lab is noted to be qualified in 35 standards across various categories, including quality management systems, soils, aggregate, and concrete.
The CMT services provided by MCA include a range of field-testing procedures, such as asphalt and aggregate testing, concrete mix design submittals, and more.
These tests are said to ensure that the approved designs successfully translate into quality construction.
MCA president Damon Garrett said: “Adding CMT services to our repertoire was a logical addition to enhance client services downstream of the firm's design work, ensuring quality execution in the field.
“It also complements our construction services offering, including construction staking/layout and construction observation.”
MCA's CMT professionals hold certifications from the Michigan Concrete Association and the American Concrete Institute.
The company notes that its CMT team delivers precise results alongside high-quality reporting for projects within a 22-county area in Michigan, bounded by various cities such as Detroit, Coldwater, Lansing, Bay City, and more.
MCA CMT adviser Aaron Cox said: “We identified a clear market need for client-focused CMT services and made that our mission.
“As such, our projects follow a day-rate billing model and our CMT experts respect client schedules - we show up on time and stay through project completion.”
MCA has met the prequalification requirements set out by the Michigan Department of Transportation for construction testing, specifically for aggregates and concrete.
