M Group, a UK-based company, has announced its largest acquisition to date by taking over Telent, a specialist in infrastructure technology.
The acquisition aims to address the challenges of ageing infrastructure in the UK and Ireland by leveraging Telent's expertise in operational technology and digital solutions.
Telent, with its annual revenues generated from various activities such as the installation and servicing of broadband telecoms and digital infrastructure systems, will significantly bolster M Group's portfolio.
The integration of Telent's key communications, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity services will enhance M Group's ability to deliver integrated solutions across multiple sectors, including transport, water, and energy.
This acquisition also broadens M Group's presence in the adjacent public sector markets.
The move promises to reinforce existing partnerships with key clients such as Transport for London, National Highways, Network Rail, Virgin Media O2, BT, EE, and Openreach.
The transaction details were not disclosed and the completion of this transaction is contingent upon receiving regulatory approval.
