Leighton Asia, a CIMIC Group company, has secured a contract from the Elan Group to build a mixed-use development in Gurgaon, India.
The retail mall, a hotel and serviced apartment tower, expected to generate about A$87m ($59.2m) in revenue for Leighton Asia, encompasses a 3.1 hectare site in Sector 82, with a total built-up area of about 207,000m².
The development includes a retail mall featuring three basement levels, a lower ground, an upper ground, and five retail floors.
It also incorporates a hotel with five floors and a tower of 17 serviced apartment floors, with a skybar and terrace.
The company’s responsibilities include earthworks, structural and civil works, electrical and plumbing installations, and the construction of both underground and overhead water tanks.
In addition, the project aims for a four-star Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA).
CIMIC Group executive chairman Juan Santamaria said: “It is great to have Leighton Asia selected to deliver another exciting project for the Elan Group, for which we are already constructing a major residential development.”
Leighton Asia managing director Brad Davey added: “This win further advances Leighton Asia’s strong presence in the real estate sector and our growth in India. We are proud to have the Elan Group’s trust and to meet their requirements.”
Construction is slated to begin in September 2024, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2027.
Last year, Leighton Asia was awarded another contract by the Elan Group for a residential project in Gurgaon, named The Presidential, which will feature 728 apartments.
