Legendre UK has been selected as the main contractor to lead the new office development in southwest London's Parsons Green.
The project, which includes the construction of a 46,000ft² sustainable office building, is a collaboration between developer W.RE and joint venture partner Taurus UK, W.RE said in a LinkedIn post.
Construction involves the creation of a six-floor commercial office building with flexible office and amenity space from the basement to the fourth floor.
Designed by TateHindle architects, the development at 14-16 Peterborough Road will feature accessible roof terraces on the top two floors and planting on levels two to four.
The building is set to be fitted to CAT A specification and will use renewable energy sources, including air source heat pumps and solar panels.
It aims to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.
The current office block on the site will be demolished to make way for the new structure, which will retain the existing party walls.
Legendre UK will also participate as a co-investor in the scheme.
Supporting the project are structural engineer Elliott Wood, quantity surveyor Exigere, and project manager B&CO.
Construction work commenced in August 2024 in Parsons Green, with the completion of the project anticipated for summer 2026.
Legendre UK managing director Thomas Vandecasteele said: “This appointment builds on Legendre UK’s expertise in delivering complex commercial schemes across London, continuing to strengthen our co-investment strategy alongside key and trusted partners, which we started in 2021 on Dockley Road and continued in 2022 on Sheepcote Road.
“Acting as both contractor and co-investor demonstrates the added value that Legendre UK can bring.”
Last year, Legendre UK revealed its expansion into property development, focusing on build-to-rent and purpose-built student accommodation projects in the Greater London area.
