Construction company JJ Rhatigan has been selected for Hub’s Yardhouse mixed-tenure scheme in Wood Lane, West London, UK.

The scheme is being developed in partnership with Women's Pioneer Housing (WPH), Bridges Fund Management, and Singapore-based real-estate developer City Developments

To deliver this project, HUB and Bridges Fund Management signed an £88m ($108m) forward funding deal with City Developments.

HUB managing director Damien Sharkey said: “Yardhouse is a prime example for next-generation co-living, where we are delivering much-needed new homes and amenities, office space and improved public realm.

“The appointment of JJ Rhatigan is a huge step forward in delivering our vision.”

The £49m project is set to transform the current site, which houses WPH's headquarters and 36 affordable homes, reported Construction News

The redevelopment plan includes a 16-storey tower flanked by two six-storey wings.

The tower will feature 209 co-living apartments while the lower-rise structures will offer 60 affordable homes for single women, and a new office space for WPH.

At the ground level, the development will have a publicly accessible café and gym.

The appointment comes after the JJ Rhatigan/ABM joint venture was selected as the design-and-build contractor by NDFA on behalf of the UK's Department of Education in November 2023.

The JV was selected for the first bundle of a programme called Project Nore.
