International real estate developer MERED has partnered with Dutch Foundation Dubai (DFD) to initiate the construction of the ICONIC Tower, a luxury residential development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held to mark the start of construction, according to a press release posted on Zawya

This move comes after MERED officially unveiled the name of its flagship project in January this year.

Full-service engineering foundation company DFD is noted to contribute more than 500 professionals and extensive experience to the partnership.

Italian design house Pininfarina will collaborate on this project.

MERED CEO Diana Nilipovscaia said: “The construction journey ahead promises to redefine architectural excellence in Dubai. Our bold vision, crafted from the MERED team’s development expertise and Pininfarina's renowned design legacy, positions the ICONIC Tower as a beacon of avant-garde design and quality.

“With total real estate transactions in the emirate increasing by 33.8% annually, and values rising more than 36.7%, the ICONIC Tower is perfectly positioned to meet the growing demand for luxury living in Dubai.”

The ICONIC Tower will be 286.4m tall and house 311 luxury apartments.

It will offer a range of amenities such as a private lounge, gym, cinema, sauna, ice spa, and more.

The tower will also provide 423 parking spaces, including air-conditioned spots, for residents' convenience.

DFD general manager Michel Farah said: “We are committed to this project and we will finish it on time.”

Construction is expected to be completed by September 2027.
