Hyde School has celebrated the commencement of works on the renovation of its Outdoor Athletics Complex in Bath, Maine, US.
The project aims to improve the athletic facilities at the school while enhancing the overall quality of life for its students and the community.
It encompasses the installation of a turf playing surface, an overhaul of the locker rooms, the construction of a family viewing pavilion, and the introduction of a new scoreboard.
The field renovation is being delivered in partnership with FieldTurf.
Completion of the project is expected by 1 September this year.
The addition of a family viewing pavilion is anticipated to improve the experience for both athletes and spectators.
Hyde School Development director Will Bridgeo said: “Thanks to the generosity of several Hyde supporters, we are able to move forward with this important campus improvement.
“We are excited to partner with FieldTurf for what will be one of the top playing surfaces in Maine. Hyde student-athletes will greatly benefit from the new athletics facility starting at the beginning of school this fall [autumn].”
Furthermore, the renovated locker rooms will offer enhanced facilities for participants.
These upgrades are designed to support a diverse array of athletic programmes, promoting teamwork, discipline, and physical fitness among students.
The upgraded complex is also expected to serve as a hub for community events.
