Greystar, in partnership with Wire Development, has initiated the construction of Elan Crown Point, a mixed-use community in Ocoee, Florida, US. 

The project is located approximately 15 minutes west of Orlando's central business district, integrating with the more than 33km West Orange Trail. 

This trail is said to be frequented by more than 150,000 users monthly, offering diverse activities such as biking, skating, horseback riding, canoeing, and fishing.  

Greystar said the community is located near various attractions such as Disney World Florida, Universal Studios, Forest Lake Golf Club, Winter Garden Village, Plant Street Market, Sea World, and Lake Apopka, among others. 

The residential aspect of Elan Crown Point will offer 315 apartments, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, townhome layouts, and live-work apartments.  

The development plans to feature an integrated clubhouse within one of the apartment buildings, commercial spaces on the ground floor, and a retail 'outparcel' to serve the community. 

Greystar Development senior director Parker LeCorgne said: “We are excited that construction on Crown Point Village is underway. This milestone is the result of fantastic partnerships with Wire Development, the City of Ocoee, Orange County, Duck Pond Realty, Santander, as well as a world-class design team. Elan Crown Point is central to the city's vision for establishing a town centre ambience. 

“There is an abundance of recreational opportunities for residents interested in an active, outdoor lifestyle. The amenities at Elan Crown Point will encourage social connectivity and recreation with the combination of light wood tones and sophisticated details, paired with organic and coastal elements.” 

Earlier in January this year, Greystar made progress on another project, Marlowe Peoria Place, in Arizona, US.
