GRAHAM, in collaboration with frame partner Hampsey, has completed the construction of the third core of its student accommodation complex in Glasgow, Scotland, UK.

Completion was achieved in under eight weeks, with the project's practical completion anticipated in 2025.

In July last year, GRAHAM broke ground on iQ Student Accommodation’s purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development.

Situated at 225 Bath Street, the ongoing development will create 551 units across 12 storeys, with each core standing at 36m high.

It replaces a previously vacant 1970s office block.

The development will offer communal amenities, including a gym, dining spaces, a gaming arcade, and social areas, spanning a total of 16,390ft².

The modern design will feature a glazed frontage aiming to enhance the existing streetscape.

Adjacent to the new complex is the existing iQ Student Accommodation block, Elgin Place, which includes 323 beds and was also delivered by GRAHAM.

The project team includes architect Cooper Cromar, engineering consultant Woolgar Hunter, project manager Atkins Realis, and cost consultant Cumming Group.

GRAHAM Building North regional managing director Gary Holmes said: “We’re really pleased with the significant progress being made at Bath Street since works commenced in July.

“The critical demand for new student homes across the city is an ongoing conversation and the new offering at 225 Bath Street will help to bridge the gap between supply and demand for students in Glasgow.”

This development comes after GRAHAM completed the modernisation of the A47 Breydon Bridge in Great Yarmouth, England, UK, last December.
