GRAHAM has commenced work on the multimillion-pound fit-out of telecommunications company BT's new office in Dundee, Scotland, UK.

The construction engineering company is serving as the lead contractor and interior fit-out specialist for the project.

The project team also includes Thomas & Adamson as project manager and quantity surveyor while IDSR Sheppard Robson is serving as architect.

Troup Bywaters + Anders is the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultant for the project.

The new office is located at 2 Greenmarket, West Marketgait. BT's current premises are situated on Ward Road, where the company has been since 1976.

This project is part of BT's Better Workplace Programme which aims to upgrade hundreds of its offices across the UK.

The purpose-built space will span five storeys and cover 76,000ft², accommodating the company's 1,000 staff members.

It will feature a range of amenities focused on enhancing employee wellness, comprising communal and collaborative spaces, a games area, and an in-house coffee shop.

The new office will have a self-vegetating brown roof, shower rooms, clothes-drying facilities, and electric vehicle charging points.

Staff managing the customer service department will operate from the Dundee hub.

GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out strategic development director Daniel Chesney said: “We are really excited to get underway with the fit-out of BT’s highly anticipated new office space in Dundee and equally proud to be a part of the significant regeneration efforts ongoing in the city.

“By prioritising sustainability and the health and wellbeing of its staff, BT has created a unique space that responds to modern ways of working and the understanding that an office is more than just a place to work.”

This comes after GRAHAM’s selection as the preferred bidder for the Lord’s Cricket Ground redevelopment project in London earlier this month.
