British construction engineering company GRAHAM has been chosen to carry out significant works at a high-rise residential building in the Chalcots Estate within the London Borough of Camden, England, UK.

The estimated value of this project, dubbed Blashford Tower, is £28m ($35.32m).

Blashford Tower comprises a 19-storey residential structure with 73 apartment units. It is located in a prominent area within the Chalcots Estate.

Works under the project will include replacing the existing windows at the site and installing new cladding made of solid aluminium panels with a natural anodised finish.

This property will also receive various other updates to achieve fire safety compliance and improve its energy performance.

GRAHAM regional director Rob Joyce said: “This project will play a crucial role in bringing Blashford Tower up to modern standards and compliance with safety regulations.

"We look forward to working collaboratively with our project partners and stakeholders to restore the tower for the benefit of its residents and the wider community.”

Blashford Tower is one of five buildings in Camden’s Chalcots Estate. It is located near the intersection of Adelaide and Fellows Roads.

Camden Council project director Astrid Kjellberg-Obst said: “We are delighted to be working with GRAHAM to deliver a high-quality building envelope refurbishment for our Blashford residents, ensuring fire safety, improved insulation, and ventilation as well as well-being for current and future residents.”

Earlier in October this year, GRAHAM completed Royal London Asset Management's £44m Wycliffe Retirement Village development in Buckinghamshire, England, UK.
