Clark Contracts has been selected to deliver Glasgow City Council's £12m ($15.1m) Statutory Private Property Housing Repairs framework in Scotland, the UK.

This framework covers two lots of renovation projects, which include both internal and external refurbishments, running until 2028.

Lot 1 focuses on minor works up to £499,999 and Lot 2 involves major works starting at £500,000.

Clark Contracts managing director Gordon Cunningham said: "We are delighted to have been appointed to this framework and are looking forward to developing a collaborative relationship with Glasgow City Council.”

Clark Contracts, acting as the main contractor, is currently managing £25m in residential projects, including developments for Waverley Housing Association in Upper Langlee and Govanhill Housing Association in Glasgow.

The company's recently completed assignments in Scotland include the construction of new council housing in Polmont for Falkirk Council, refurbishing rental flats in Edinburgh, converting a former Travelodge in Aberdeen into student accommodation, and a 60-studio renovation on South Bridge, Edinburgh.

In April 2024, the University of Glasgow reappointed Clark Contracts for its construction framework agreement, entrusting it with construction, refurbishment, and fit-out works up to £7m.

The contractor's portfolio also includes participation in several other public sector frameworks such as Scotland Excel’s New Build Residential framework, Wheatley Group’s Generation 3 Housing framework, Link Group’s New Build Housing framework, and various frameworks under Scottish Procurement Alliance.

Founded in 1978 and employing more than 250 people, Clark Contracts has expanded into various construction specialities, including refurbishment, fit-out, manufactured joinery, and maintenance, serving both the public and private sectors across the UK.

Earlier this month, the company commenced the construction of the £6.7m Water Sports Hub in Stranraer, Scotland, with the project expected to be completed by mid-2026.
