Curo Construction has been awarded a contract to finish a build-to-rent project, The Charter, in Gravesend, England, UK.
The development consists of 242 apartments and a multistorey car park.
Rosherville, the wholly owned commercial trading company of Gravesham Borough Council, is developing The Charter in partnership with Reef Group.
In May this year, Rosherville announced that, following the administration of original contractor Henry Group, it and Reef Group were seeking a new company to continue the project.
Rosherville chair Jamie Izzard said: “With our original main contractor having ceased trading and the challenges being faced across the construction industry in general, getting to this point has not been straightforward, but we are now in a position where we have the right people in place to proceed with the build at pace.”
Reef Group development director Peter Langly-Smith added: “We are really pleased with the appointment of Curo Construction to complete the build works at The Charter, following a challenging period after Henry Construction’s demise.
“We remain committed to delivering this exciting project in partnership with Rosherville and look forward to seeing people move into these new homes and enjoying Gravesend town centre.”
Work is now set to resume immediately, with completion expected by early 2026.
Upon completion, The Charter will be fully owned by Rosherville.
Last month, Curo Construction collaborated with Grosvenor on the South Molton project in Mayfair, London, UK.
This venture involves the creation of 18 retail units, 33 homes, and various amenities.
