Coushatta Tribe has announced plans for a ground-breaking ceremony for the Coushatta Casino Resort expansion project in Kinder, Louisiana, US.
The event will take place at the Seven Clans statue, situated in the Sculpture Garden in front of the Seven Clans Hotel on 20 March 2024.
The ceremony will mark the start of construction on the resort's latest series of upgrades and expansions.
It will be attended by Coushatta Tribal Council chair Jonathan Cernek and members and Coushatta Casino Resort general manager Todd Stewart.
It will also be attended by heads from TBE Architects, Yates Construction, and Wenaha Group.
The expansion includes the construction of a new eight-storey, 204-room luxury hotel, which will feature 100 suites.
The hotel will be connected to the casino, providing guests with easy access to the casino floor.
This development is expected to increase the resort's total room capacity to more than 1,000 and create additional employment opportunities in the region.
The resort offers nearly 2,000 slot machines and more than 55 table games, including live poker, live bingo, a sportsbook, and off-track betting facilities.
Cernek said: “As construction commences, we are excited about all the new venues and upgrades that we will be able to offer our guests, starting with this new hotel.
“Our goal is to offer our players an elevated gaming experience, and that includes top-quality lodgings and high-end dining options. The Coushatta Tribe is leading the way in building an unsurpassed resort destination, both in the local market and in the entire region.”
Coushatta Casino Resort is situated on US Highway 165 and is accessible via I-10 exit 44.
The development comes after the property announced the opening of its renovated Bingo Hall in April last year.
