Taiwanese pastry manufacturer County Specialty Industry is set to build a new production facility in the Hualien Meilun Industrial Zone within the country.

The company intends to further bolster its export potential while supplying its Hualien Crispy Biscuit product to the global marketplace.

With a total floor space of approximately 3,000m², the new four-storey production facility encompasses an area of roughly 2,865m².

The advanced food production facility is currently in a two-year planning phase but has already received both ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications throughout this period.

The project will consist of three primary production lines: IoT equipment monitoring systems, a cloud kitchen product history system, and the implementation of a new ultrasonic cutting machine.

Construction work on the factory is anticipated to be completed by 2025.

The company is also partnering with a 'plastic centre project' to enhance the packaging of its Hualien Crispy Biscuit, which is set to be released next year.

With a goal to increase the competitiveness of its products in the international market, County Specialty Industry is targeting primary markets for export in the US, Canada, Japan, and South-East Asia. The company was founded in 1966.

The new initiatives will provide an opportunity for Taiwan's pastry sector to expand its reach internationally, and concurrently allow the company to increase its customer base.
