Commercial property investment company CLS has revealed its plans to develop a mixed-use site, Citadel Place, in Vauxhall, London, UK.

The current site, which is said to be known for its low-rise office buildings from the 1990s, is set to undergo a redevelopment.

With the anticipated vacancy of the four existing buildings in 2026, CLS has engaged architectural company Allies and Morrison to design the new Citadel Place project.

The redevelopment plans for Citadel Place include the construction of 180-200 new homes.

The project will also offer purpose-built student accommodation with approximately 450 bedrooms.

It will feature communal spaces, retail units, and other amenities on the ground floor.

In addition, Citadel Place will have landscaped areas with play spaces.

The design aims to create pedestrian-friendly pathways, improving connectivity between Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens and Pedlar’s Park.

CLS Holdings CEO Fredrik Widlund said: “Citadel Place represents our commitment to sustainable urban development. We envisage a place where people can live and thrive; supporting the community within Vauxhall.

“CLS has operated and invested in the Vauxhall area for over 35 years and continues to work closely with the London Borough of Lambeth, residents and the local business community and we are excited to now start on the next phase of development.”

The company plans to submit a planning application for this development early next year.

Local residents, businesses, and other stakeholders will be given an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed plans for Citadel Place.
